In this specific case the problem was not to only to jet the metal-organic pigments; that had far to big particules for the DOD technology; but to find a way to get them fixed on the places that were corresponding to the colour plan of the image. A chemical product was then used for its capacities to:

• be jetted by the DOD nozzles of the print engine according to a partern onto a flat surface ;
• maintain the projected pigments according a patented powdering onto the color plan representation areas ;
• evaporate at very high temperature, before obtaining the final decorated ceramic product

Samples were made in order to prove the feasability.
