It all started in 1995, when Alain Boutet and Christophe Aliaga created a first business unit with a team of qualified engineers that were motivated to explore the limits of Inkjet, they developped and produced a prototype machine that would print directly onto hard, non-porous materials.

Then followed the classic milestones for innovative products: - 1997, with the help of l'ANVAR (French agency for the help in innovative development), they presented their first working prototype. - 1998 they started to register the first patents - 2000 came the first commercial launch on the European market- 2002 Transfer of technology to the Scitex Vision Group - 2004 the Transfer is achieved and Alain Boutet quits the Scitex Vision Group

Today, the results of these 10 years of R&D are still available on the market. The Scitex Vision Group was taken over by HP, and the development is now commercialized under the HP Scitex FB6300 machine name.

In 2005, Alain Boutet comes accross the COMET project, a high speed wide format printing machine for posters. After discussions with Christian Hugonnet, former CEO of the Affiche Europeene Group, it is decided that the finalization of the prototype COMET 1600 will be handled by Alain Boutet.

Following this decision, Eden-Graphics was created in May 2005 by Alain Boutet...soon joined by Christophe Aliaga.

The main objective for Eden-Graphics is to conduct development and commerzialisation of Industrial solutions around its own DOD Inkjet Print Engine (IPE). Among other great specification, the Eden Graphics IPE provides an ultra high data transfer process which allows to you to drive a very large number of high resolution printheads.
