It is difficult to discuss Digital Printing without considering Inkjet, this technolgy never stopped growing the past few years
One segment of the same technology is DOD (Drop on Demand) Inkjet has now started to positionned itself as a competitor for poster printing to offset and screenprinting.
Finally, as points out Andy Tribute, a British consultant specialized in Graphic Arts and correspondent with the Seybold Report, "Inkjet has also made a strong move into the Industrial (wall papers, floors etc...), the label and packaging printing markets..."
This is the reason why, in 2004, the engeneering schools have created the Digital Printing Centre in Valence (France).

This new centre represents, among other things, a strong way to promote the Inkjet Technology to all the Rhone-Alpes region industrial partners.
