Solvent based inks are used at large scale by the graphic arts industry. The usage of these inks creates a lot of problems to the environment. In fact, this inks carry a high concentration of volatile organic components which are really bad for the work shops as well as the environment. This is the reason why we are witnessing the development of alternatives to these "hard" solvent inks. Almost all Inkjet Inks Manufacturers are now offering a new generation of inks that have been developped with less dangerous solvent, we are entering the Eco Solvent era...
